Principal Configuration Analyst – PCA Lead (Andover, MA)
Responsibilities- Understand PCA requirements and identify new hardware to the product baseline.
- Determine make/buy status and pull all data from the appropriate finance database.
- Ensure proper quality notes are flowed down on Purchase Orders (POs).
- Prepare and deliver PCA Plan Contractual Data Requirements List (CDRL) consisting of all hardware to be audited and PCA plan.
- Align with Ops and Supply Chain on shipment dates.
- Retrieve and review artifacts such as First Article Inspections (FAIs), Certificate of Conformance (CoCs), Variances, NCs, work instructions, etc.
- Manage PCA list and status progress.
- Prepare and deliver PCA Agenda CDRL with required attendees and a detailed schedule of in‑person PCA event and parts to be audited.
- Conduct on‑site audits and incremental virtual audits until all hardware is approved.
- Close out action items using a specific form to capture and resolve actions.
- Obtain PCA certification signed from IPT Lead and CM Lead.
- Prepare and deliver a PCA Summary Report CDRL after completion.
- Update the PCA Plan Appendix to reflect final PCA baseline.
- Process engineering action documents via CM reviews in the Product Data Management (PDM) system.
- Bachelor’s degree required; 5+ years of experience in configuration management specific to running PCAs, or alternative combinations of education and experience as listed.
- Experience with Windchill PDM or related tools.
- Experience working in an engineering team environment, interfacing with Hardware, Systems, or Test Engineers.
- Understanding of principles, standards and processes such as EIA‑649 and the Configuration Management Standard.
- Self‑starter, willing to learn new tools and work with diverse technical and non‑technical disciplines.
- Pro‑active interface with the team.
- Demonstrated ability to support multiple ongoing projects and parallel release activities.
