Position
Hardware Lab Lead – Andover, MA (Onsite)
Required:
U.S. citizenship and an active Secret DoD clearance. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance. Role includes managing lab strategic projects, day‑to‑day operations, safety, security, compliance, and property stewardship across multiple engineering labs at AR1 DUKES BLDG, 358 Lowell St, Andover, MA.
- Manage Lab Operating Procedures (LOP) and provide direction to lab users on established policies.
- Coordinate and implement Environmental Health Safety and Sustainment, Property & Metrology Management, including maintenance of equipment service contracts and ongoing equipment repairs.
- Perform cost analysis, ensuring task completion within approved budgets.
- Process lab purchase requests through SAP, SRM, and Vallen, and support Supply Chain Management.
- Oversee audit/assessment preparation, including Engineering Lab Objective Evaluation and Voluntary Protection Program.
- Develop corrective action plans and assist in long‑range objectives and engineering customer goals.
- Safeguard classified/proprietary material, hardware, and documentation in compliance with Export Administration Regulations.
- Develop and implement communication plans, providing consulting support to functional and engineering customer management.
- Influence stakeholders within and outside the responsible area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
- Work autonomously with limited oversight; provide professional input, guidance, and problem‑solving.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum 5‑year relevant experience, or advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
- Experience overseeing or implementing safety, security, compliance and property management in an engineering lab environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical/electronic skills.
- Knowledge of OSHA/NFPA industrial policies and regulations.
- Experience working directly with engineers, technicians and leadership in a lab environment with safety, security, compliance and property management.
- Experience with EHS, NISPOM, JAFAN and Foreign Object Elimination.
- Ability to organize and track capital and expense assets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 per year (good faith estimate).
