Overview
Senior Section Lead – Semiconductor Fab Test and Inspection within Raytheon Technologies’ Advanced Microelectronics Solutions (AMS) Department. The role leads a team of process engineers to fabricate advanced microelectronic devices and drive innovation across near‑term and long‑term technology roadmaps.

Responsibilities- Direct a group of skilled process engineers in the fabrication of GaAs, GaN, GaSb, or acoustic semiconductor devices, including automated inspection and pick‑and‑place operations.
- Review and oversee project schedules and costs, and champion process improvement initiatives to enhance yield and efficiency.
- Interface with operations management, manage capital acquisition, and support future investment strategies.
- Allocate team resources effectively to support foundry process oversight and foster cross‑functional communication.
- Collaborate with the department manager on manpower and resource planning, overhead cost control, employee performance reviews, and proposal development.
- Provide management support at the department, directorate, and functional leadership levels.
Must Have
- Minimum of 10 years of semiconductor testing experience (DC and RF) or an advanced STEM degree counting as 3 years.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience in production testing and semiconductor processing, ideally with GaAs, GaN, GaSb, or acoustic devices.
- Strong process‑engineering background, including automated inspection and pick‑and‑place operations.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, root‑cause analysis, and project scheduling/management.
- Previous exposure to a defense contractor or government agency preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Leadership experience with cost account or task‑lead management.
Preferred
- Master’s degree or PhD in a STEM field.
- Demonstrated experience in semiconductor process engineering and test system development.
- Excellent customer focus and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Familiarity with defense contractor requirements.
Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD. 401(k) match, short‑term and long‑term disability, life and additional insurance, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, employee assistance program, and other benefits consistent with the business unit and collective‑bargaining agreements.
