Position Overview
Facilities Electrical Engineer (Manager, Facilities) — an individual contributor role at RTX's Enterprise Services team (Andover, MA; also portal support in Portsmouth, RI). The position focuses on electrical design, distribution, load sizing and construction project management for office renovations, laboratory fit‑ups and manufacturing equipment installations.
What You Will Do- Support facilities electrical design, electrical distribution and construction project management.
- Conduct project estimating, load sizing, coordination studies, arc flash studies, and develop construction drawings.
- Prepare bid documents, manage construction administration and support office/ laboratory fit‑ups and manufacturing equipment installations.
- Lead a project from design through the bid cycle, construction management and project close‑out.
- Coordinate with internal and external resources such as IT, safety, security, construction trade workers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Conduct meetings with internal customers, develop continuous improvement projects and coordinate studies.
You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and 5 years of experience.
- 5+ years of experience in building electrical engineering (HV, MV, LV, high‑/medium‑/low‑voltage power, grounding, load sizing, control systems, coordination studies, lighting and controls, lightning protection).
- Experience with construction project management, including scoping meetings, budget monitoring, schedule updates, contractor coordination, commissioning, and close‑out.
- Strong written skills for technical specifications, reports and operating procedures.
- Proficiency in SKM short‑circuit & arc‑fault analysis, feeder & transformer sizing and design tools (AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project Scheduler).
- Active Professional Engineering license or eligibility to obtain one in Massachusetts within 6 months of hire (preferred).
We Prefer:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for leadership and cross‑functional teams.
- Familiarity with building electrical systems and coordination with architectural, mechanical, structural, civil, IT and security disciplines.
- Experience in facilities engineering, design and construction project management, especially manufacturing facilities.
- Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and control systems such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric.

Compensation ranges from 107,500 USD to 204,500 USD, with consideration of experience, education, and performance.
Location & TravelOn‑site in Andover, MA with occasional travel to Portsmouth, RI.
