Utilities Project Engineer (HVAC SME)

Work directly with a leading global pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Own the technical delivery of major capital projects.

We’re supporting a high-profile manufacturing site delivering multiple large-scale capex programs, and we’re looking for a Utilities Project Engineer with strong HVAC expertise to join the team.

This is a hands-on SME role
, where you’ll act as the technical authority for HVAC and utilities across several concurrent projects in a live manufacturing environment.

• Embedded on-site with the end client
  , working directly on their projects
• Key role in major facility upgrades and modernisation programs
• Long-term opportunity, 2–3 years+ with strong pipeline beyond
• Be the go-to technical expert

You’ll operate as the HVAC SME within the project team
, supporting delivery across multiple capital projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and approving designs, submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation
• Supporting construction, installation, and commissioning
• Conducting system walkdowns to ensure installation aligns with design intent
• Providing input into commissioning and system readiness
• Acting as a technical advisor to Project Managers
• Supporting work in a live manufacturing environment

• Strong HVAC expertise (SME level)
• Experience supporting capital projects (design and/or construction)
• Comfortable with submittals, RFIs, specs, and drawing reviews
• Exposure to commissioning and system handover
• Broader utilities knowledge (plumbing, waste systems etc.) is beneficial

Backgrounds considered:

• Owner-side engineering / utilities teams
• Engineering or design firms (EPC / A&E)

Life sciences experience is beneficial, but not essential.
