What You Will Do
- Serve as the Section Manager for individuals in the Front end CCA Off-Shift Engineering team, leading the team that addresses production issues, resolving complex challenges, and driving process optimization, cost reduction, and cycle time improvement. Provide mentorship, guidance and career development discussions to the team
- Translate engineering design requirements into actionable solutions, including the development and maintenance of detailed manufacturing process documentation, and guide junior team members in documentation best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—Operations, Design, Test, Manufacturing, and Quality—to ensure seamless communication, integration of design requirements, and alignment on production goals.
- Lead and coach corrective action investigations by dispositioning discrepant hardware, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive measures, mentoring less experienced engineers in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Lead teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities, including contributing to process improvement initiatives and specialized tooling development (e.g., jigs, fixtures, and packaging), while coaching junior team members to actively participate in improvement projects.
- Drive a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and safety, coordinating across disciplines and suppliers to ensure best practices are upheld in all aspects of manufacturing operations.
- Drive technology road map – maintain and continue to develop leading edge technology road map for SMT operations.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience.
- Experienced technical expertise in electronics manufacturing processes, including knowledge of production techniques, quality control, and industry standards for electronic components and systems.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance after the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 (Circuit Card Assembly Industry Standards)
- Experience in Leadership or managing others.
- Experience with Surface mount technology.
- Experience with lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred majors:
Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering Technology. - Experience applying technical principles in the manufacturing life cycle.
- Experience with Quality Systems and their application.
- Earned Value Systems Budget Management.
- Shop Floor Management.
- Experience with MRP systems (ex. SAP).
- Experience with proposal development.
- Experience with Estimates at Complete (EAC) development and management.
- Skilled in risk identification and risk management.
- Strong engineering aptitude and analytical skills.
- Technical problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Verbal and written technical communication.
- Customer and company oriented and driven to meet or exceed expectations.

- The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD.
