Senior Section Lead - Semiconductor Fab Test and InspectionThe Senior Section Lead - Semiconductor Fab Test and Inspection is responsible for directing a group of skilled process engineers to fabricate advanced microelectronic devices in accordance with various technology roadmaps in support of Raytheon Technologies business pursuits. The role includes directing production testing, III‑V semiconductor processing, and automated inspection and pick‑and‑place operations.
What You Will Do- Review process changes, identify and champion process improvement opportunities, and work to improve process yields while interfacing with operations management.
- Review and oversee project schedules, costs, drive capital acquisition and qualification, and execute process improvement and development activities for the foundry.
- Facilitate effective allocation of team resources to support foundry process oversight, identify future capital investment needs, and foster open communication between functional teams.
- Work with the department manager on manpower and resource planning, controlling overhead costs, developing and delivering employee performance reviews, and drafting proposals.
- Support management at the department, directorate, and functional leadership levels.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) field with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in semiconductor testing, including both DC and RF. (An advanced STEM degree could count for 3 years of experience)
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- A Master’s degree or PhD in a STEM field.
- Experience with GaAs, GaN, GaSb, and/or acoustic semiconductor processes.
- Demonstrated experience in semiconductor process engineering, specifically in automated inspection and pick‑and‑place operations.
- Extensive experience in the development of test systems and associated software.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and related SPC software.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
- Strong analytical, customer‑focused, and collaborative skills.
- Project scheduling and management experience.
- Previous experience with a defense contractor and/or government agency.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Current DoD Secret level security clearance.
Salary range: 132,400 USD – 251,600 USD. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Hired applicants may be eligible for incentive compensation and annual programs depending on the level of the position and collective‑bargaining agreement.
