Job Title:
Senior Staff RF Engineer (Chelmsford, MA)
- Drive the development and production of complex multi‑function RF modules in all phases of the product life cycle.
- Design and develop circuits, modules and sub‑systems from initial concept through prototyping and full‑rate production.
- Lead investigations to understand complex RF system problems and provide innovative solutions.
- Act independently to uncover and resolve issues associated with implementation of operational products.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with hardware, systems and circuit design teams.
- Contribute to or author proposals and participate in business capture efforts.
- Work with technical and manufacturing support personnel to ensure successful product development and production.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or STEM field (BS). Six‑eight years of relevant professional engineering experience (minimum 8 years).
- Extensive experience troubleshooting RF designs and resolving integration issues.
- Extensive experience with RF microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance (interim clearance required).
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Significant experience in defense electronics, including architecture development for wideband direct‑RF sampled systems.
- Experience with high‑speed digitizers, FPGA interfaces and networks.
- Experience designing active RF modules, circuits or systems.
- Experience testing microwave products at the CCA, module or subassembly level.
- Expertise in microwave simulation tools, datalink or T/R module architecture, and RF subsystems including antennas, transmitters, receivers, mixers, switches, frequency generation and conversion circuits.
- Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques and technical documentation (specifications, schematic drawings, test data).
- Hands‑on hardware experience and ability to lead failure investigations.
- Team collaboration with manufacturing and industrial engineers and operators on production support.
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and be able to obtain at least an Interim Secret clearance before starting.
LocationChelmsford, Massachusetts (On‑site full‑time).
Schedule:
four 10‑hour days, three days off per week.
