Position Overview
At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, we unite 185,000 great minds to solve complex problems and protect our world. This role supports the production floor of the Hardware Integration Center (HWIC) in a highly visible test engineering capacity.
Shift and CompensationSecond shift with an 8% shift premium. Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD. Overtime (paid) may be required on an as‑needed basis.
Responsibilities- Support a fluid production environment in a test engineering role.
- Troubleshoot complex array‑level issues on the production floor and in the Near Field Range (NFR).
- Work from schematics and drawings to understand RF faults and troubleshoot using common test equipment.
- Perform root‑cause analysis on systemic array issues and route feedback to feeder areas or suppliers to resolve subassembly failures.
- Analyze test data to identify potential issues using MATLAB.
- Work diligently with union technicians throughout the test process.
- Interact daily with operations, quality, process/mechanical, and production control regarding urgent test needs.
- Review system‑level test data for compliance with specifications.
- Interact with maintenance/test department to maintain fully functional test stations.
- Develop or update factory test procedures as needed.
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM); minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- One year of integration, test, or troubleshooting experience.
- Experience using MATLAB to analyze data.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
- Prior experience testing complex arrays.
- Ability to interpret failing test data and diagnose fault modes using schematic diagrams.
- Understanding of radar systems technology in testing and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of RF test equipment.
- Experience in preparing and executing factory test procedures.
