Position
Sr. Electrical Engineer – Failure Analysis – Onsite, Andover, MA (USA)
Responsibilities- Perform end‑to‑end failure analysis, including external visual photo‑documentation, electrical testing, non‑destructive troubleshooting, environmental testing, X‑ray evaluation, destructive testing, decapsulation, cross‑sections, internal visual photo‑documentation, SEM evaluation, and documentation of detailed final reports.
- Operate laboratory equipment such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, LCR analyzers, curve tracers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, frequency generators, signal generators, power meters, hi‑pot testers, megohmmeters, laser mills, plasma etchers, chemical jet etchers, bond pullers, and related tools.
- Manage multiple analyses concurrently.
- Collaborate across departments with engineers in materials, chemistry, and other disciplines.
- Research, investigate, and experiment with new failure analysis techniques.
Required
- University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in failure analysis.
- Experience operating electrical test equipment.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and performing circuit analysis.
- Familiarity with component data sheets and drawings.
- Strong data collection and presentation skills; ability to write clear reports and present findings.
- Technical knowledge of electrical components and their applications.
U.S. citizenship required. Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Secret).
