This is a 4th-shift which includes a shift premium of 8%. Typical schedule Friday - Sunday (12 hours shift) and 4 hours during the week.
Test and Validation Engineers develop and improve test processes analyzing product specifications to determine appropriate designs and processes to support customer requirements. You would apply your knowledge and skills to develop, test, modify, and create solutions through a collaborative effort with various teams and provide technical direction for the test and troubleshooting of complex electronic assemblies and test equipment. What You Will Do
- Ability to work cross-functionally with all stakeholders within and beyond the value stream including Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Design/Engineering, Test Equipment Development, and Program Offices.
- Developing Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including factory test procedures/instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool, and fixture designs.
- Working with Test Development engineering on new or existing test hardware and software.
- Supporting manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting, incorporation of engineering changes into the MDP, providing technical support to testing of production hardware and maintenance of test equipment.
- Dispositioning non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required.
- Driving Continuous Improvement to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk, automate, reduce costs (both direct and indirect) using CORE principles and data-driven decision making.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- 2+ years experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
