Raytheon's Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities directorate is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support hardware and software integration activities for the family of Patriot programs, including development and fielded Patriot equipment within the Andover-based Patriot Labs.
Responsibilities- Contribute to successful technical execution of complex integration and test events
- Perform daily testing execution and troubleshooting efforts within an engineering laboratory environment
- Utilize working knowledge of software programming to support complex software and hardware integration testing and troubleshooting efforts
- Develop expertise in program hardware and software interfaces
- Interact on a technical level with team members from different engineering disciplines (HW, SW, Mechanical, Systems Integration and Test, etc.)
- Support continuous improvement process by identifying and troubleshooting issues with software and hardware, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken
- Utilize working knowledge of L/UNIX to troubleshoot and configure assets to meet customer needs
- Travel domestically up to 10%, including to White Sands Missile Range
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with C/C++, LabVIEW, Python, and/or FORTRAN 77
- Experience with Linux and/or UNIX
- Active DoD Security Clearance
- Experience with radar systems or complex military systems
- Experience identifying and troubleshooting issues with hardware, and clearly documenting all actions and steps taken
- Experience with instrumentation and/or test equipment, i.e., oscilloscope, multi-meter and/or spectrum analyzer
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Security Clearance:
Must have an active U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200.
