We are experiencing growth and seeking an RF Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin's Andover, MA facility. What You Will Be DoingIn this role, the Staff RF Engineer will support the development and production of complex multi‑function modules used in challenging high reliability applications in all phases of the product life cycle. The engineer will have the opportunity to design and develop circuits, modules, and sub‑systems from initial concept through prototyping and full‑rate production. They will work on complex technical problems, provide innovative solutions, work independently, mentor less experienced engineers, architect and design RF systems and circuitry, develop RF circuitry for high frequency and microwave applications, manage hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test, prepare test RF hardware to verify performance characteristics including simulation and modeling, provide inputs to Product Development for formal documentation, support manufacturing during deliverable assembly and test, develop RF System/Subsystem Architectures (antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment), perform link analysis and optimization with simulation and hardware validation, develop and allocate RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements, identify and track RF technical performance measurement (TPMs), perform RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis, support life cycle COTS, reliability, availability, maintainability analysis, contribute to or author proposals, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines including hardware engineers, system engineers, and circuit design engineers as well as technician and manufacturing support personnel.

Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5+ years of professional experience; or 3+ years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree. Considered an emerging authority.
- Extensive experience with RF design at the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), subsystem, or module level.
- Experience with Schematic Capture, RF Block Diagrams Reviews, and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).
- Extensive experience with troubleshooting design and resolving integration issues.
- Experience with the use of microwave test equipment and microwave simulation tools such as network analyzers and spectrum analyzers, and tools such as ADS, CST Microwave Studio, and HFSS.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Candidate must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance and be able to obtain at least an interim secret level security clearance before starting the position.
- Master’s Degree in electrical engineering or closely related technical field.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Significant relevant experience in the defense electronics industry.
- Expertise with RF subsystem and hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, microwave components, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, advanced electronic modules, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation circuits and/or frequency conversion circuits.
- Experience with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools.
- Experience with microelectronics assembly techniques.
