Engineering Technician
As an Engineering Technician in MKS Valves Engineering team, you will play an important role within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. You will work closely with electrical, software, mechanical and test engineers to design, build, test, and troubleshoot equipment used around the world. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Manager.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Providing technical support to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshooting analog and digital circuits down to the component level.
- Performing failure analysis, document findings, and generate detailed test reports.
- Assembling, testing, evaluating, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Ordering and managing electrical components, tools, and lab supplies.
- Disassembling and reassembling complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Supporting lab operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration tracking, and documentation.
Skills You Bring:
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Minimum 4 years of practical experience working with electronic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong experience with component-level troubleshooting and circuit analysis.
- Experience performing PCB rework, including both surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering.
- Hands-on experience using standard lab equipment, including:
- Oscilloscopes
- Digital multimeters (DMMs)
- DC power supplies and electronic loads
- Experience with PC based applications to include Microsoft Office package and email.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
Pay Range:
Total Base Pay Range $30.48 - 50.80 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
Bonus:
This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
