SystemEngineer II
– Role Overview
Systems Engineer II within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS Family of Radars (FoR). This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment.
What You Will Do- Develop requirements, algorithms, concepts of operations, and define system interfaces.
- Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real‑world environments.
- Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
- Work across functions to drive performance improvements and resolve system issues.
- Develop and execute models to predict system performance and support verification and validation.
- Integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating functionality and impact.
- Work with and lead a multi‑disciplinary team to achieve seamless integration and system functionality.
- Develop integration documentation, execute plans, analyze data, verify requirements, and effectively communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data to ensure optimal system performance and verify requirements.
- Present technical findings and solutions to leadership and customers.
- Travel as needed (up to 20%) to support mission execution at various locations, including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with systems software, systems hardware, systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
- Experience with DOORS, Rhapsody, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
- Experience with model‑based engineering.
- Experience in developing and managing requirements.
- Experience developing both scripts and functions with MATLAB.
- Experience with C++, Python, or similar.
- Experience with generating technical documentation, such as test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
- Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
- Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers.
Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.
