Senior Semiconductor Facilities Engineer (Manager, Facilities)
Company: RTX Corporation. Position located in Andover, MA at 358 Lowell St, R1 DUKES BLDG. Onsite. The role requires a U.S. citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance.
Responsibilities- Manage planning, design, and maintenance of semiconductor facility systems (HVAC, clean rooms, deionized water treatment, hazardous gas distribution, compressed air, process cooling water, industrial waste treatment, exhaust abatement, electrical systems, and other critical infrastructure).
- Maintain cleanroom environments (ISO
14644) for temperature, humidity, and contamination control. - Oversee and manage the planning, coordination, and execution of tool installation projects, ensuring alignment with manufacturing requirements, facility layouts, operational timelines, and compliance with NFPA fire codes and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards, fire codes, local and industry regulations, and company policies.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and longevity of facility systems.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues related to semiconductor facility systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to optimize operations.
- Provide technical guidance and project leadership to trades teams, fostering continuous improvement.
- Conduct capacity planning and resource allocation to support current and future production requirements.
- Identify and implement energy‑efficient and sustainable solutions to minimize environmental impact and operational costs.
- Generate detailed project plans, budgets, and reports for senior management review.
- Stay current with advancements in semiconductor manufacturing technologies and facility engineering best practices.
- Minimum 8+ years experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent combination of work experience and schooling).
- 5+ years experience in semiconductor cleanroom design, HVAC systems, process utilities, and environmental controls.
- Proven experience with project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other facility design and modeling software.
- Familiarity with ISO, SEMI, OSHA requirements and other industry standards.
- Professional Engineer license or certifications in facilities management (e.g., CFM, PMP) is preferred.
- Competitive base salary ranging from 107,500 to 204,500 USD.
