Senior Highway Engineer – Andover, MA

An established multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a senior highway engineer to join its growing transportation team in the Greater Boston area. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of roadway and infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients across Massachusetts.

• Lead and support the design of highway and roadway improvement projects.
• Prepare technical analyses, roadway geometry, grading, and drainage designs.
• Develop construction plans, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Represent projects at client meetings, public hearings, and technical presentations.
• Assist with project management duties, including scheduling, budgeting, and invoicing.
• Support business development efforts and proposal preparation.
• Mentor and oversee junior engineering staff.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 5-10+ years of highway design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Strong understanding of MassDOT standards and highway design guidelines.
• Experience with roadway geometry, drainage, grading, and transportation infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
