As an Associate Project Manager within JLL's Commissioning & Building Analytics (CBA) team, you will be part of a dynamic team collectively shaping a brighter way for our clients, ourselves, and our fellow employees. This role requires working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization to manage commissioning projects from initiation through completion.

Project coordination:
Oversee commissioning project development and execution, including budget management, schedule adherence, quality control, and coordination of commissioning activities across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
Stakeholder management:
Engage with clients, engineering teams, contractors, and commissioning agents to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the commissioning process and project lifecycle.
Technical oversight:
Review project plans, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure commissioning deliverables align with project goals, industry standards (including LEED requirements), and regulatory guidelines.
Risk assessment:
Identify potential technical and project-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful commissioning outcomes.
Contract administration:
Support in reviewing, negotiating, and administering contracts with commissioning providers, testing agencies, and specialty consultants.
Project documentation:
Maintain accurate project documentation, including commissioning plans, test procedures, status reports, meeting minutes, and technical reports using tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and commissioning software platforms.
Financial management:
Monitor project financial performance, track commissioning-related expenses, and maintain accurate project budget records to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
Quality assurance:
Conduct quality checks on commissioning documentation and deliverables to verify accuracy, consistency, and completeness, and address any discrepancies promptly.
Team support:
Coordinate with commissioning technicians, project managers, and technical writers by facilitating meetings, preparing presentations, tracking commissioning activities, and assisting with project-related tasks.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related), Construction Management, or related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 2-4 years of experience in commissioning, project management, or related roles within the construction or engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes and procedures for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and controls.
- Knowledge of building systems operations, testing protocols, and acceptance procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple commissioning projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management and documentation tools, such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, and project management software.
- Attention to detail and ability to review technical documentation for accuracy and compliance.
Preferred qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) designation.
- Experience with commissioning software platforms (e.g., CxAlloy, Bluerithm, or similar) to effectively manage and implement commissioning processes.
- LEED Certification (LEED AP or LEED Green Associate) or demonstrated knowledge of LEED standards.
- Experience working with commercial real estate clients on new construction or retrofit commissioning projects.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices, energy-efficiency standards, and smart building technologies.
- Understanding of industry standards, quality management systems, and regulatory requirements related to commissioning.
- Ability to travel for project-related meetings, site visits, and commissioning activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and continuous learning mindset to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
