Our work involves electronic hardware for radar, missile, and combat systems. An opportunity exists for a mechanical/manufacturing engineer to join the RF Head Factory team responsible for production of microelectronic assemblies.
This is a 3rd shift position, which includes a 12% added pay differential
Provide microelectronic hardware operations engineering support to the RF Head Factory, with a focus on process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and the introduction of new RF Head modules to production. Individuals will be required to participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process base line metrics, and SPC implementation and process data analysis.
What You Will Do
- Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation
- Programming for manufacturing automation
- Dispositioning of discrepant hardware
- Leading corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Manufacturing process development and maintenance
- Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with the manufacturing processes and transition to production of new products and processes to support volume manufacturing
- Experience with related military and industry standards and specifications disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis
- Experience supporting and programming Wire and Ribbon bonding equipment
- Working Knowledge of MIL-PRF-38534 and MIL-STD-883
- Active DoD Clearance (Secret)
