- Partner with Engineering and Tech-Ops on testing, development, and design of existing and new products
- Report to the Sr. Mgr, Engineering (ME)
- Participate in lab test setup and perform experiments
- Work with 3D CAD
- Learn basics of CAM/CNC to support prototyping
- Collaborate with a diverse, dynamic, multifunctional team environment
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program for Mechanical Engineering at University of Massachusetts Lowell
- Completed 2nd or 3rd year
- Must be available for the entire 6 month assignment
- Experience with Solid Works/Inventor
- Demonstrated examples of mechanical aptitude in coursework or other activities
- Presentation of projects either course related or outside interests
- Adept in working with hand tools
- Willingness to work in lab areas where high voltage and toxic gasses are used, with mandatory safety compliance
- Sponsorship is not available for this position
- Candidates generally must reside in states where MKS is registered to do business
Demonstrates mechanical engineering principles through hands‑on experience with 3D CAD software and mechanical aptitude. Collaborates effectively in a multifunctional team while adhering to safety compliance in lab environments.
