We're partnering with established engineering consulting firms throughout New England to hire Entry-Level Civil Engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates and early-career professionals looking to gain hands‑on experience and build a long‑term career in civil engineering. These opportunities offer a combination of field and office responsibilities, with exposure to engineering design, site investigations, construction observation, field testing, and project documentation.
Depending on the position and project needs, responsibilities may lean more heavily toward fieldwork or office‑based engineering. You'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, and technical professionals while gaining exposure to a variety of commercial, residential, institutional, and infrastructure projects.
- Perform field investigations, site visits, and construction observations.
- Assist with site evaluations and document existing field conditions.
- Observe earthwork, foundations, utilities, site development, and other construction activities.
- Perform field testing and collect soil, concrete, and other project samples and data as needed.
- Assist with subsurface investigations, test pits, borings, and other field exploration activities.
- Prepare detailed field reports, logs, photographs, and project documentation.
- Assist engineers with calculations, analysis, design, and technical evaluations.
- Support the preparation of engineering plans, reports, specifications, and other project deliverables.
- Assist with site design, grading, drainage, utilities, foundations, and other civil engineering tasks.
- Review construction plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other engineering software as needed.
- Communicate with engineers, contractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Work both independently in the field and collaboratively with office‑based engineering teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
- 0–3 years of professional or internship experience; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Interest in gaining experience across both field and office‑based civil engineering work.
- Previous engineering internship, construction, field inspection, materials testing, or design experience is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Comfortable working outdoors, visiting active construction sites, and completing hands‑on field assignments.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an engineering team.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
- EIT certification or plans to pursue the FE/EIT are preferred but not required.
Pay Range:$26.00/hr. – $29.00/hr.
