Location: Andover (CDP), MA
Salary: $90,000.00 USD Annually - $ USD Annually
Job Description- Design and develop PCB layouts for power converter assemblies using Altium Designer, ensuring compliance with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) standards and utilizing the Central Library for approved footprints and component attributes.
- Perform PCB design verification activities using CAD tools and established quality checklists.
- Manage PCB lifecycle progression through Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, advancing designs through layout, review, fabrication, assembly, and stencil release stages.
- Collaborate closely with Electrical Design Engineers to create new PCB layouts, implement schematic updates, and modify existing designs based on engineering requirements and product revisions.
- Partner with Mechanical Engineers to accurately integrate mechanical constraints, connectors, terminals, keep-out zones, and other physical design requirements while supporting PCB release documentation.
- Work with Operations and NPI Engineering teams to incorporate manufacturability considerations, including spacing requirements, solder mask design, and production design margins.
- Coordinate and lead PCB Layout Design Reviews, facilitating meetings with cross-functional stakeholders including Electrical, Applications, Mechanical, Firmware, Compliance, and Operations Engineering teams prior to PCB release.
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple concurrent PCB design projects to meet development schedules and tape-out deadlines.
- Collaborate with the CAD Library team to maintain library integrity, ensure proper component usage, and resolve CAD-related issues.
- Generate PCB stencil files using CAD tools and document all related deliverables within the PLM system.
- 3+ years of PCB CAD design experience.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer; experience with Blue Print software is a plus.
- Familiarity with Valor and/or ODB++ manufacturing data formats preferred.
- Working knowledge of PCB fabrication and assembly technologies, including SMT, through-hole, blind vias, and buried vias.
- Basic understanding of power electronics and power conversion applications.
- Knowledge of PCB fabrication, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
