In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
Our Integrated Systems Team seeks interns to support integration and test of hardware and software of complex air defense systems. Our team provides system engineering, integration, and test expertise to the radar, missile, and ground system programs within Raytheon. In this role you will perform various engineering activities depending on your experience and skill level, such as system test requirements development, planning, execution, and analysis for system integration and verification in hardware-in-the-loop facilities, flight tests, and sell-off of production systems;
technical support on-site and as reach-back for deployed sensor systems; and modeling and simulation. This position is an onsite role located in Andover or Tewksbury, MA. Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
- (Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a sophomore by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
- (Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Junior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
- (Senior Technical Intern)- must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program and classified as a Senior by start of internship and provide proof of graduation prior to first day of employment
- (Post-Graduate Technical Intern) - must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship
Responsibilities include supporting the test and evaluations of our products including but not limited to:
- Support the planning, execution, and reporting for integration and verification tests for hardware, software, and/or flight tests
- Perform work within the requirements database in DOORS to update and maintain the Verification Cross Reference Matrix
- Develop detailed integration information sheets and/or verification information sheets
- Support system or software regression testing, and associated data analysis
- Perform data analysis for radar hardware, software and/or simulations using tools such as MATLAB
