Awesome opportunity to be the Controller of an international company with offices in MA and in Europe. There is a strong leadership team in place, and also a strong team in accounting and finance, but you will still be able to put your stamp on it by making improvements to processes through automation.

As the Controller, you will be responsible for directing the accounting, tax, and treasury functions of the Company in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Those duties will include month end close for multiple entities, reporting and analysis of financial statements, consolidations, and tax management.

The office is in MA on the North Shore and you must be in the office 2-3 days/week.

• Direct and oversee the month-end close function for multiple entities across the globe
• Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
• Manage annual financial audit which includes developing audit schedule, ensuring required documentation is prepared in a timely manner, and interacting with the auditors
• Prepare reporting for the VP of Finance and senior leadership team on a regular basis
• Manage and mentor team
• Partner with other leaders in the business to develop and implement process improvements and new technologies to create a more efficient accounting department

• 10+ years of accounting experience including 3+ years as Controller or Assistant Controller
• Experience working for a real estate company, professional services firm, investment firm, or something very closely related is mandatory
• Must have experience working for a company with revenues of at least $50M and multiple entities
• Bachelor’s degree mandatory and Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance OR CPA preferred
• Great Plains, MS Dynamics, Net Suite, or a similar ERP
