Position: CUAS Finance Associated Director (M6)

Role Overview

At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, the Short and Medium Range Ground Based Air Defense (SMGBAD) Sub‑Strategic Business Unit (SSBU) offers an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director of Finance, Program Controls. The incumbent will lead finance for the Counter Unmanned Airborne Systems (CUAS) business area, providing leadership, development, and direction to a team of 17 finance professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance and program control function for CUAS, guiding a team of 17 professionals.
  • Prepare and manage Estimates at Complete (EACs), monthly forecasts, earned‑value reports, and other key financial products such as the Annual Operating Plan, Long‑Range Strategic Plan, Investment reviews, Overhead, and Risk & Opportunity analysis.
  • Lead program reviews and gate reviews, including customer and gate reviews, proposals, and competitive bidding processes.
  • Consolidate financial projections, analyze changes to actuals and forecasts, and communicate results to senior leadership.
  • Partner with various levels of the organization, including enterprise functions, to integrate financial impacts and support business decisions.
  • Present financial analyses and recommendations to senior managers and executives on a regular basis.
  • Manage high‑visibility initiatives and maintain timely flow of information throughout the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or an advanced degree with the required years of experience.
  • Minimum 12 years of finance experience (or 10 years with an advanced degree), including P&L ownership or financial planning experience.
  • Direct supervisory experience guiding finance teams.
  • Experience performing financial analysis in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (Secret).
  • Willingness to support Eastern, Central, or Arizona time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in finance or a related field.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with senior management or VP‑level personnel.
  • Experience with competitive proposals and knowledge of the DoD acquisition process.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask across deadlines.
  • Secret clearance is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: USD 157,200 – 298,800. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.

Security Clearance

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (Secret) is required.
