Boston Speech Therapy is actively looking for a compassionate and motivated Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in providing therapy services to individuals with speech and language disorders. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience and contribute to the enhancement of communication skills in clients across various settings, primarily in schools.
As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a qualified SLP, implementing treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and providing vital support to families and educators. We value teamwork, creativity, and dedication in our staff as we strive to provide the best possible care.
This position is in person only.
Start date Feb 29 - June.
Responsibilities- Assist licensed Speech Language Pathologists in evaluating and treating clients
- Implement treatment plans designed by the Speech Language Pathologist
- Provide therapy to clients to help improve speech and language skills
- Document client progress and report findings to the supervising SLP
- Support clients and their families with communication strategies and resources
- Collaborate with educational staff and other professionals to ensure coordinated care
- State certification or licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to follow treatment plans under supervision
- Passion for helping individuals improve their communication abilities
Contract opportunity – 1099
45 –55 per hour
