** Service Technician Level 3
** is responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of audio/video equipment under some supervision. This position requires onsite work at different client sites on a daily basis. The technician works as a part of a team to ensure complete customer satisfaction and that systems are functioning according to industry standards and are of top-quality workmanship. The Service technician interfaces internally with Engineers and Help Desk personnel as well as externally with clients including end users, technology managers, or executives.

This technician is a self-starter who can manage several issues concurrently.
** Responsibilities:*
* • Represent Red Thread professionally and be able to directly respond to clients, manufacturers and the Help Desk
• Superior communication skills including daily status reports in writing, issue resolution, RMA's, phone support
• Travel daily to visit various customer sites, primarily throughout the Greater Boston and southern New Hampshire areas, with occasional travel across the broader New England region.
• Ensure AV systems are functioning according to specifications and industry standards
• Ability to upload/test/debug control program files and work with programmers to identify and resolve programming issues
• Ability to upload and modify audio DSP files and fine tune adjustments for optimal quality
• Update firmware on a variety of AV hardware
• Ability to work overtime as needed

* Skills and Experience:

* • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience preferred
• AVIXA CTS preferred
• Strong attention to detail and process
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Crestron/Extron/AMX/Cisco/Poly
• Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms
• Experience with DSP's such as Biamp/QSC/Shure
• Clean driving record

* • Ability to go up and down a ladder repeatedly
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to lift and install product overhead in the ceiling
• Appropriate visual acuity to terminate cables
** Pay Range:**$40-45/hr (based on experience). Plus bonus.
