Position Summary

The Digital Business Systems Manager & Local SAP Project Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the local execution of the Mikado project (transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4

HANA), ensuring successful deployment, stabilization (hypercare), and adoption across the plant. This role also serves as the site owner of different digital business systems for manufacturing, guiding SAP, MES, PLM and related systems to support operational excellence, compliance and scalability. It drives continuous improvement of digital processes, data structures and system integration across Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain. This is a non‑people manager role with strong cross‑functional leadership responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities
  • SAP Project Leadership – act as the local Mikado Project Manager for the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4

    HANA.
  • Lead site‑level planning, execution and coordination of project activities in alignment with global timelines, including testing, training and go‑live.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders (Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, IT).
  • Ensure readiness for deployment: data validation and migration support, process alignment and standardization, end‑user training and adoption.
  • Lead and support hyper‑care phase, ensuring stabilization of operations and rapid issue resolution.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the plant and corporate project teams.
  • Act as test manager for the site and lead the creation of test scripts.
  • Digital Business Systems Ownership – act as site lead for digital business systems supporting manufacturing operations (SAP S/4

    HANA, MES, PLM integrations).
  • Ensure systems are aligned with business needs, compliant with corporate standards and optimized for performance.
  • Own and continuously improve end‑to‑end system processes across manufacturing, quality and engineering.
  • Manufacturing Master Data & Data Governance – ensure integrity and governance of SAP master data (BOMs, routings, work centers, MRP parameters, production versions) and establish and maintain data quality standards.
  • Support data structures required for planning, costing, traceability and compliance.
  • PLM & Engineering Data Integration – support and coordinate PLM‑related activities, ensuring proper integration with SAP and manufacturing systems, and efficient creation of plant Quality, Engineering and data packages per company standards.
  • Drive alignment between Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing data flows; identify and lead initiatives to improve digital processes and system utilization; drive standardization and automation of workflows; support implementation of global digital initiatives at the local level.
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership – provide functional leadership without direct authority across multiple departments; act as liaison between Operations, IT, Engineering, Quality and Corporate teams; influence stakeholders to adopt standardized processes and system solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, supply chain or digital transformation.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP (preferably S/4

    HANA), MES or similar ERP systems.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting or leading ERP implementations or system migrations.
  • 3+ years of experience in a medical device or other regulated industry.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in large‑scale transformation programs (e.g., SAP S/4

    HANA migration).
  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge or certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and ability to apply lean principles to digital processes and system optimization.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (Power

    BI, Snowflake).
  • Ability to translate complex system/data topics into business insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, cross‑functional environments.
  • Experience with Product Lifecycle Management systems and data integration.
Physical Attributes
