Position Summary
The Digital Business Systems Manager & Local SAP Project Manager is a key leadership position in the local execution of the Mikado project (transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4
HANA). The role ensures successful deployment, stabilization (hypercare), and adoption across the plant. It also serves as the site owner for digital business systems supporting manufacturing, driving continuous improvement of digital processes, data structures, and system integration across Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
- Data validation and migration support
- Process alignment and standardization
- End‑user training and adoption
- Rapid issue resolution during hypercare
- Primary interface between the plant and corporate project teams

- Ensure systems align with business needs and corporate standards
- Optimize system performance
- Drive end‑to‑end process improvements
- BOMs, routings, work centers, MRP parameters, production versions
- Establish data quality and lifecycle standards
- Support planning, costing, traceability, and compliance data structures
- Create and implement quality, engineering, and data packages per Straumann standards
- Align Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing data flows
- Identify and lead initiatives to improve digital processes
- Standardize and automate workflows
- Implement global digital initiatives locally
- Influence stakeholders to adopt standardized processes and solutions
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, supply chain, or digital transformation
- 3+ years of experience with SAP (preferably S/4
HANA), MES, or similar ERP systems - 3+ years of experience supporting or leading ERP implementations or system migrations
- 3+ years of experience in a medical device or other regulated industry
- Experience in large‑scale transformation programs (e.g., SAP S/4
HANA migration) - Lean manufacturing knowledge or certification (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills (PowerBI, Snowflake)
- Ability to translate complex system/data topics into business insights
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, cross‑functional environments
- Experience with product lifecycle management systems and data integration
- May sit for extended periods of time
- Utilize dexterity to type, operate a computer, and manage office equipment
- Spend significant time reading both on paper and on a computer
General office and manufacturing environment. May be exposed to hazards associated with manufacturing equipment and tools.
SalarySalary: $92,000 – $112,000/Annually. The final pay will vary based on geographic location and candidate experience relative to the company’s expectations for this position.
