• Manage and optimize the server infrastructure in a heterogeneous information system.
• Provide IT systems administration in a mixed Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
• Lead a team of System Administrators to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT systems and applications.
• Oversee corrective/preventive maintenance, recurring operations, account management, and system optimization.
• Set up administrator and service accounts, maintain system documentation, tune system performance, install system‑wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes.
• Participate in Change Request reviews and on Change Management boards at multiple program levels.
• Coordinate technical and process document reviews, resolve system‑administration, engineering, and integration issues.
• Lead and participate in technical meetings with team members and other program personnel, representing the organization in functional area matters.
• Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent) within 6 months of start date.
• Ensure systems operate 24x7; perform work outside standard hours as necessary.
• Travel up to 10% per year to other US domestic locations as business needs dictate.

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience.
• An active and transferable U.S. Secret Clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience as a Linux System Administrator.
• Experience with at least two of the following technologies: VMware, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Podman, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or Ansible), Windows administration.

• Patch management, OS upgrades, computer security, system monitoring and logging.
• Experience with Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) systems.
• Experience with Net App, Veeam.
• Experience with requirements gathering, planning, and managing deployment, installation, maintenance and upgrade efforts across multiple geographic sites.
• Experience managing IT services and support in a 24/7 real‑time operational environment.
• Experience with Linux/Windows scripting.

• Salary range: $107,500 USD – $204,500 USD.
