Job Title – Lab Instrument Service SpecialistOur client in Andover, MA is looking for hardworking, motivated talent to join their team.

- Escort lab instrument service (LIS) vendors between the security desk and the lab bench.
- Provide trainings to such service vendors.
- Work with service vendors to ensure service reports are obtained in a timely manner upon completion of a service.
- Closes work orders in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Affixes and removes lab instrument labels as directed byLIS staff.
- Hosts daily huddle with planner/schedulers to provide updates on equipment service progress.
- Collects pipettes in designated pickup/drop-off locations and ensures they are handed off to the pipette calibration vendor.
- Assist LIS asset managers with asset management activities as requested including but not limited to equipment moves, installs, removals, labelling, and inventory management.
- Assist LIS planner/schedulers with planning/scheduling activities as requested including but not limited to processing and/or closing service work orders in the computerized maintenance management system.
- Understand customer requirements and coordinate/interface with other teams for various support requirements.
- Maintain professional and customer-oriented relationships with team members, internal and external customers and service providers, and building occupants.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and adhere to company standards. Provide compliance and quality system management support to help ensure the LIS group is audit ready every day.
- Maintain a continuous improvement mindset and identify LIS process improvement opportunities.
- Perform other job-related duties and special projects as requested.
- BA or BS degree in the sciences is preferred
- Must be a motivated, fast learner, good note-taker, someone who picks up tasks quickly once trained.
- Must be a skilled communicator (well-spoken and personable). This role works with a many different departments and people.
- Must be detail-oriented. The program that this role supports is highly regulated, and the role has the ability to positively influence audit/inspection outcomes.
- Must be skilled with basic Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word).
- Needs to be skilled at navigating various computer programs (strong basics – typing and screen navigation)
