Summary
Performs essential job functions in the maintenance and repair of equipment, facilities, and vehicles. Follows priorities set by supervisor and performs work in accordance with company wide guidelines and manufacturer’s specifications. Works to minimize unplanned downtime, improve production quality, increase equipment efficiency, and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
Responsibilities- Implement the facility’s preventative maintenance program.
- Conduct scheduled inspections of fluid levels, water flows, quench oils, filters, washer soa,p and similar items; notify supervisor of issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in the Maintenance Department work area; promptly clean up after maintenance and repair work is completed within the facility.
- Assist in equipment performance testing per company wide and manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Perform corrective actions required for out-of-specification conditions as directed by the supervisor.
- Assist in analytical troubleshooting of issues to maintain equipment, facilities, and vehicles.
- Accurately record and document all completed maintenance, modifications, and repairs.
- Maintained shop copies of manuals and blueprints in a neat and organized manner; provided others with updated information as required.
- Run company errands and pick up equipment, materials, and supplies as required.
- Operate company vehicles safely and courteously.
- Promptly report observed equipment, facility, and vehicle repair or maintenance needs to supervisor.
- Make suggestions for changes that would help the facility achieve improved efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Assist in maintaining the inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.
- This position is responsible for the care and treatment of our customer’s inventory and, as such, will perform duties safely and responsibly to prevent customer loss or damage.
- Must have the ability to report for work on time, follow directions, interact effectively with co-workers, understand and follow rules and procedures, and accept constructive criticism.
- This position must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore, candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Resident Card Holders.
- Education – College or technical degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred;
High school diploma or equivalent plus 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required. - Must have hands-on experience and expertise with thermal coupling.
- Must possess troubleshooting skills with mechanical equipment and be analytical.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and databases, is required.
- Ability to function as an effective team member through good communication and cooperation to meet plant goals.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; must have excellent multi-tasking skills and ability to prioritize work flow.
- Actively participate in team meetings to work on problem-solving and continuous improvement of the organization.
- Must have basic maintenance or industrial tools.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment at elevated heights and in confined spaces.
- Manual dexterity to perform data entry functions.
- Ability to bend, pull, stoop, stand, walk, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach to perform functions.
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- May be exposed to heat, fumes, noise, humidity, etc.
- Must have the cognitive and mental capacity to perform essential job functions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Visual acuity to read documents, computer screens, files, etc.
- Ability to hear in person and via phone.
