Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain & maintain a DoD Confidential clearance after day 1.
Shift: 4th shift – 12‑hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, Sunday (6:00am‑6:00pm) plus one 4‑hour shift on Monday or Thursday.
Responsibilities- Direct floor‑support of a CNC machine shop for continuous production.
- Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation, including raw material definition, fixturing/tooling development, CNC programming, inspection planning, finishing requirements, and assembly instructions.
- Support process improvements using data analysis and best practices to improve process capability and reduce cost.
- Control and improve manufacturing processes through collaboration with a multi‑disciplined team.
- Self‑manage workload to support existing production, perform non‑recurring engineering work for new products, and drive improvement projects to completion.
- Communicate effectively with Engineering and Operations leaders to ensure schedule needs are met and address barriers.
- Support process development on new product introductions with an accelerated time‑to‑market.
- Validate NC programs using CGTech Vericut and Cimco Edit.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues alongside Quality and Operations personnel, applying CORE/6‑sigma methods to determine root cause and corrective actions.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and minimum 2years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of machining techniques, cutting tools, and CNC machine tool capabilities.
- 2+years experience interpreting engineering drawings, including GD&T.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Preferred: CNC programming for 4 or more axes.
- Experience with Creo CAD/CAM and Siemens
NXCAD/CAM software. - Process familiarity with paint, plating, and structural assembly.
- Results‑oriented focus on past projects to evaluate success.
- Hands‑on mechanical aptitude.
- Strong organizational skills; can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient written, verbal, visual, and graphical communication skills.
- Good judgment and professional maturity.
- Knowledge of CORE principles and techniques.
- Active DoD Security Clearance.
