Responsibilities
- Engage with the Operations team and other engineering disciplines—including Design, Test, Manufacturing, and Quality teams—to manage production issues in the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) process.
- Resolve production issues and initiate or contribute to process improvement and cost initiatives.
- Lead cycle‑time reduction projects and develop manufacturing process documentation.
- Create and oversee projects using risk‑management techniques.
- Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
- Program manufacturing automation.
- Disposition of discrepant hardware.
- Lead root‑cause and corrective‑action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Identify and lead process‑improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Develop and support manufacturing processes.
- Conduct safety/ergonomic assessments.
- Interact with senior personnel on technical matters that often require coordination between organizations and/or suppliers.
- Develop tools/fixtures to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defect.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 5 years of work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of previous manufacturing experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Knowledge and experience with ANSI J‑STD‑001 Class
3. - Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience supporting circuit‑card assembly production floor (process and/or quality focus).
- Specialized tooling development (jigs, fixtures, specialized packaging).
- Knowledge and ability to apply Six Sigma principles and techniques.
- Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology.
- Experience in DFMA.
- Self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
- Demonstrated hands‑on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools.
- Active DoD security clearance (confidential).
- Experience with automated equipment and programming.
- Experience developing new manufacturing processes to support volume manufacturing.
U.S. citizenship is required. An active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to the start date. The security clearance status must be able to obtain an interim U.S. government‑issued security clearance before commencing work.
