Toolmaker Machinist- 1st Shift

What you will do:

• Set up and operate machining, grinding, heat treating, brazing, soldering and welding equipment on a variety of materials.
• Fabricate replacement parts for production and non‑production equipment.
• Plan layouts, procedures, machine setups, parts programs, and tooling selections.
• Apply shop mathematics, mechanics, and trigonometry to calculate machine feeds and speeds.
• Edit programs and review new designs for producibility.
• Perform heat‑treat processes and deburr parts.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously when practical.
• Mark and identify parts, manage material movement, and use precision inspection equipment.
• Maintain workplace cleanliness, housekeeping of tools and equipment, and safety records.
• Perform other similar duties as required or directed.

You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in fixturing and/or tool & die fabrication.

We Prefer:

• 4 years apprenticeship in machinist trade or equivalent.
• Experience with CNC, DNC, CAD, heat‑treat ovens, brazing, soldering, and welding.

Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Confidential clearance.

• Competitive wage starting at $41.60/hour.
• 1st Shift (6:00AM–2:30PM) onsite in Andover, Massachusetts.
