DoD Clearance:
Secret. Active and existing security clearance required after day 1.
Overall responsibility for a manufacturing operations team consisting of 15‑20 employees. Lead the team in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment to ensure products meet contractual quality, cost, and delivery requirements by planning, organizing, and directing the flow of production.
Ensure a safe work environment and actively lead and engage in safety improvement projects. Engage in daily interactions with cross‑business teams such as manufacturing engineering, maintenance, production control, finance, and the program management office to maintain and meet organizational goals. Achieve or exceed goals for cost, quality, delivery, and safety. Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using core and lean methodologies.
Support deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools, and metrics to measure progress, identify root causes of failure modes, production capacity, quality, and staffing issues, and develop/implement corrective action plans.

- Capital identification and control of overhead expenses.
- Ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Supervisory, leadership, and/or manufacturing experience is required.
- Experience in operations management using lean manufacturing concepts with a track record of lean/six sigma.
- Basic knowledge of the theory of constraints.
- Previous experience supervising bargaining unit employees.
- Manufacturing or industrial engineering experience in the aerospace/defense industry.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access).
