What You Will Do

  • Support the final assembly of major end items as part of a cross‑functional team, guiding the production team through process troubleshooting and incorporation of engineering changes into the Manufacturing Data Package (MDP).
  • Analyze disposition of non‑conforming material, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous‑improvement projects to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk to assemblers, automate tasks, and reduce both direct and indirect costs using CORE principles and data‑driven decision making.
  • Develop, maintain, and review Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, and tool and fixture designs.
  • Work cross‑functionally with operations, maintenance, quality, and design to implement robust processes for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a manufacturing or design environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Proficiency with technical drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience using CAD solid modeling tools (preferably CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with military and industry standards and conducting safety/ergonomic assessments.
  • Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team environment.
  • Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and an innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with paint, plating, chromate/chemical conversions processes preferred.
