Production Maintenance Technician
Location:
Andover, Massachusetts (US-MA).
Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:30pm – 11:00pm. Onsite.
Starting Wage: $41.60 hourly.
- Diagnose and repair machinery using prints, sketches, machine drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Perform preventive maintenance on motors, lifts, actuators, and non‑standard equipment.
- Maintain forklift trucks, lifting equipment, cranes, A/C pulleys, belts, motor drives (direct or indirect), bearings, shafts, overhead door drives, turbine blowers, compressors, vacuum pumps, air actuators, valves, and hydraulic fluids.
- Make jigs, fixtures, and any special tools necessary to complete maintenance work.
- Disassemble, reassemble, and troubleshoot complex mechanisms, moving heavy machine parts as required.
- Execute oiling, lubrication, and general housekeeping of workplace, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and adhere to all safety rules.
- Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience.
- At least 4 years of apprenticeship in a maintenance trade or equivalent experience.
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance).
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active, transferable DoD Secret security clearance.
- Knowledge of mechanical, CNC, electronic, and hydraulic equipment maintenance.
This position is part of a collective bargaining agreement; wage and workplace conditions, including shift times, are subject to the agreement. Qualified employees may be represented by a union.
