This position serves as a Continuous Improvement (CI) Specialist supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Factory Operations leadership team, the CI Specialist drives Lean initiatives that increase factory throughput, improve process flow, enhance equipment utilization, and enable scalable growth.
This role partners closely with Operations Managers, Engineering, Quality, Production Control, and cross-functional support teams to identify improvement opportunities, lead Kaizen events, and implement standardized systems that strengthen operational performance.
What You Will Do- Lead and facilitate Lean initiatives focused on increasing output, reducing cycle time, improving WIP flow, and minimizing waste in semiconductor production areas.
- Evaluate current processes and develop future-state value stream maps, standard work, and flow improvements.
- Support takt alignment, bottleneck analysis, and factory capacity improvement activities.
- Partner with operation leaders to translate growth objectives into actionable Lean roadmaps.
- Facilitate Kaizen events, 5S programs, Gemba walks, problem-solving sessions, and other Lean methodologies to drive measurable performance gains.
- Maintain and improve CORE/Lean CI tools and artifacts (SIPOC, maturity assessments, macro plans, control rooms, etc.).
- Develop and track KPIs tied to throughput, quality, equipment efficiency, and overall factory performance.
- Gather data and insights from multiple teams, synthesize findings, and create concise executive-level briefings.
- Support factory Ops Reviews, Tier meetings, and cross-functional alignment forums.
- Help prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for factory and operations leadership.
- Lead, coordinate, or support CI projects across semiconductor operations, ensuring timely execution and sustainment.
- Prioritize actions based on critical business needs and rapidly changing factory demand signals.
- Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining visibility of schedule, risks, and dependencies.
- Build relationships and leverage Raytheon-wide networks, resources, and best practices to accelerate improvement outcomes.
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Experience in one of the following areas:
Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Project/Program Management and/or Process Improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean principles (5S, VSM, Kaizen, standard work, problem solving, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and present insights effectively.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and levels.
- Experience working in semiconductor fabrication, module assembly, or high‑mix/low‑volume manufacturing.
- Prior experience facilitating Kaizen events or leading CI initiatives.
- Familiarity with CORE or other enterprise improvement systems.
