Continuous Improvement Specialist

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join the Mission Components (MC) Factory. The role focuses on leading projects that optimize cost, quality, and schedule within the MC manufacturing area, while applying CORE principles and collaborating across engineering, testing, quality, and operations functions.

• Lead initiatives that optimize cost, quality, and schedule for the MC manufacturing area.
• Support infrastructure and facility planning to introduce high‑volume automation equipment.
• Drive process flow optimization, equipment property management, and modernization of tiered communication across functions.
• Facilitate collaboration between cross‑functional teams during daily morning meetings using the latest technologies.
• Serve as a calibration champion managing over 5,000 pieces of equipment.
• Lead safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct area re‑layouts to best support the current product portfolio.
• Manage office supply inventory within budget constraints.
• Report directly to the Factory Operations Manager and participate in key leadership engagements.

• Minimum university degree or equivalent experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Typically 5 years of prior relevant experience in Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Project/Program Management, or Operations.
• Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and monitoring of improvement initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑directed, proactive individual with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.

Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD (discretionary based on experience and role).

US‑MA‑Andover (US‑MA‑AN3 ~ 354 Lowell St ~ AN3 SUFFOLK BLDG). Role is onsite and requires a U.S. Citizen and an active, transferable DoD Clearance:
