Manufacturing Engineer II – 3rd Shift

Job Summary

Position:
Manufacturing Support – MDPs (3rd shift, onsite) at RTX in Andover, MA.

Security clearance:
Active DoD Secret required (U.S. citizenship required).

Shift premium: 12%

Location:

352 Lowell St, Andover, MA (USA).

• Interpret manufacturing requirements and develop & maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and document manufacturing practices.
• Support daily manufacturing activities by troubleshooting processes and incorporating engineering changes into MDPs.
• Disposition non-conforming material with root cause and corrective action analysis as required.
• Generate Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues related to the production manufacturing process.
• Drive continuous improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk, automate, and cut direct and indirect costs using Six Sigma principles and data-driven decision making.
• Provide real-time technical support to manufacturers and fabricators, both in-house and supply base.
• Develop tools/fixtures that incorporate ergonomics into manufacturing processes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government secret security clearance before start date.
• U.S. citizenship.

Preferred:

• Experience with cable fabrication, including point-to-point, branched harnesses, and radio frequency.
• Experience with automated tooling, machinery, and programming.
• Continuous improvement mindset using process modernization.
• Sound understanding of statistical analysis techniques.

• Salary range: $68,900 – $131,100 USD.
