Manufacturing Engineer
Manufacturing Engineer responsible for the Advanced Electronic Subsystem (AES) Power/PDU area. This includes production floor support to operations, Continuous Improvement efforts, Defect Prevention Team (DPT) support, Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) readiness, Design interface and/or Change Requests (CR), and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE)
Capturing lessons learned on current Production programs (ie Patriot, TPY, etc) and incorporating for future opportunity capture
Training/Coaching junior engineers in the value stream
Manufacturing and/or producibility reviews of new designs and other Concurrent engineering requests and/or tasks
Investigating and driving resolution (including root cause and corrective action support) to production problems, including interfacing with suppliers/supplier quality and other value streams.
Manufacturing Engineers develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying products and manufacturing methods. They provide engineering and manufacturing support expertise to enable on-time, lowest cost hardware delivery with performance and reliability that exceed customer expectations. They execute across all phases of a program including proposal capture, process development, transition to production, and production support. Manufacturing Engineers design, control, and improve the manufacturing process and system design through a collaborative effort with the value stream team.
You would apply your skills to implement improvements that reduce cycle time and cost and improve productivity, while maintaining a high level of safety in the manufacturing environment and quality within the product.
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience. 1+ year of manufacturing experience. The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE) and/or simulation tools
Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP/ERP) tools and systems (ie PRISM/SAP)
Demonstrated proficiency with Manufacturing Shop Floor Management tools and systems (ie cMES)
Demonstrated proficiency with Product Data Management tools and systems (ie Windchill/PDM)

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.
-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
