The position is a Manufacturing Engineer working the 3rd shift (12 % shift premium) at RTX’s Andover facility in Massachusetts. Required U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities- Interpret manufacturing requirements and develop/maintain Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs).
- Document manufacturing practices and support daily manufacturing areas with process troubleshooting.
- Incorporate engineering changes into the MDPs and manage non‑conforming material disposition with root‑cause analysis and corrective action.
- Generate Change Requests (CRs) on technical issues related to the production manufacturing process.
- Drive continuous improvement through process improvements to improve cycle time, reduce ergonomic risk, automate, and lower both direct and indirect costs using Six Sigma principles and data‑driven decision making.
- Provide real‑time technical support to in‑house manufacturers and the supply base.
- Tool and fixture development to embed ergonomics into processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including 1+ year of manufacturing experience.
- Active U.S. government‑issued Secret clearance required before start date.
- U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens eligible for clearance).
- Experience with cable fabrication (point‑to‑point, branched harnesses, RF).
- Experience with automated tooling, machinery, and programming.
- Continuous improvement mindset using statistical analysis techniques.
- Existing CONFIDENTIAL or SECRET clearance.
