Citizenship & Security Clearance: U.S. citizenship required. Must obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance (DoD Confidential). Interim clearance before start date is mandatory.
Salary Range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD.
Responsibilities- Support the operation of SMT process lines, including automated and programmable equipment, for multiple products.
- Drive process improvement initiatives, cycle time reduction, defect prevention, and operator support.
- Establish process baseline metrics, implement SPC, analyze process data, and prevent defects.
- Create and oversee projects using risk‑management techniques.
- Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
- Program computers and machines for manufacturing automation.
- Disposition discrepant hardware.
- Lead root‑cause and corrective‑action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in process‑improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives using Lean manufacturing methodology.
- Develop manufacturing processes and provide ongoing support.
- Conduct safety and ergonomic assessments.
- Interact with senior personnel on technical matters that often require coordination between organizations and/or suppliers.
- Develop tool/fixtures to improve ergonomics and reduce cost and/or defects.
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience in operations engineering or circuit card assembly.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required for eligibility.
- Experience with ANSI J‑STD‑001 Class3 and IPC‑CC‑830.
- Knowledge and application of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience supporting a circuit card assembly production floor (process and/or quality focus).
- Specialized tooling development (jigs, fixtures, specialized packaging).
- Experience with SMT screen printers, solder paste inspection machines, adhesive placement machines, and component placement machines.
