Position Overview
Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA. This is a 3rd shift role, with a 12% shift premium. The role requires a U.S. citizen and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (DoD Confidential). The position is onsite.

Responsibilities- Support operation of SMT process lines, including automated and programmable equipment for multiple products.
- Process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and operator support.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, establish process baseline metrics, SPC implementation, defect prevention, and process data analysis.
- Create and oversee projects using risk management techniques.
- Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
- Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation.
- Disposition of discrepant hardware.
- Lead root‑cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in process improvement and cost‑reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Manufacturing process development and support.
- Conduct safety/ergonomic assessments.
- Interact with senior personnel on technical matters requiring coordination between organizations and/or suppliers.
- Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost/defect.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM).
- 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance required.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 & IPC-CC-830.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience supporting circuit card assembly production floor (process and/or quality focus).
- Specialized tooling development (jigs, fixtures, specialized packaging).
- Experience supporting SMT Screen Printers, Solder Paste Inspection Machines, SMT Adhesive Placement Machines, SMT Component Placement Machines.
$57,200 - $108,800 USD. Range is a good faith estimate based on experience level.
