Responsibilities
- Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA.
- Support the operation of Conformal Coating Process lines, including automated and programmable equipment for multiple products and coating types.
- Implement process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, prevent defects, and provide operator support.
- Participate in the establishment of process baseline metrics, SPC implementation, and process data analysis.
- Create and oversee projects using risk management techniques.
- Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
- Develop computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation.
- Disposition discrepant hardware and lead root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Support manufacturing process development.
- Conduct safety and ergonomic assessments.
- Coordinate with senior personnel on technical matters requiring cross‑organization or supplier collaboration.
- Develop tool and fixture solutions to improve ergonomics and reduce cost and defects.
- Provide operator support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in manufacturing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 & IPC-CC-830.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience supporting circuit card assembly production floor with a process and/or quality focus.
- Specialized tooling development (jigs, fixtures, specialized packaging).
- Masking development (boots, die cuts, automated masking dispensing).
- Knowledge of IPC-CC-830 coatings – urethane, silicone, parylene, acrylic, and epoxy.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance before the start date. A confidentiality security clearance (DoD Confidential) is required, with the ability to obtain an interim clearance.
