Assembly Technician

This role focuses on assembling and reworking sub-assemblies for portable analytical instruments in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment. You will use small hand tools and follow schematics to build, debug, and reassemble complex components while maintaining high quality standards and a clean, organized workspace.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble sub-assemblies for portable analytical instruments using small hand tools and established procedures.
  • Follow assembly schematics and work instructions to build and reassemble components accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform rework and reassembly on existing sub-assemblies to correct issues or implement design changes.
  • Debug instruments and sub-assemblies to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve assembly-related problems.
  • Use soldering techniques where required to complete or repair assemblies in accordance with quality standards.
  • Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, functionality, and adherence to specifications before moving them to the next stage.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with ISO 9000 standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement in assembly processes.
Essential Skills
  • Hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing or similar technical environment.
  • Proficiency in using small hand tools for mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Ability to read and follow assembly schematics, drawings, or work instructions.
  • Experience working with sub-assemblies and complex component builds.
  • Capability to debug instruments and identify root causes of assembly issues.
  • Skill in performing rework and reassembly on existing assemblies to correct defects or implement changes.
  • Attention to detail and strong focus on quality and accuracy in assembly work.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing setting.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
