Position Overview
Sr. Supervisor, Production Control – Andover, MA. Onsite role requiring a DoD Confidential clearance and U.S. citizenship. Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 per year.
Security Clearance- DoD Confidential clearance required
- U.S. citizenship required; existing clearance required after day 1
- Manage a high‑visibility, high‑mix area
- Conduct material availability analysis, tracking, and reporting
- Oversee kit readiness, coordinating with BOM, Material Master, Process Engineering, Operations, and Document Control
- Lead and mentor a team of planning and scheduling professionals to meet program and organizational goals
- Evaluate and coordinate material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production and customer demands
- Monitor and analyze production schedules, material availability, and potential shortages or delays, proactively mitigating issues to avoid schedule impacts
- Drive effective communication and collaboration between departments, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Engineering
- Propose and implement solutions to address potential work stoppages or delays, ensuring factory operations run smoothly
- Facilitate compliance with Department of Defense safety standards and initiatives
- Manage material movement between warehouses, production areas, and customers to ensure on‑time delivery of components and finished goods
- Provide regular material status updates during Line of Balance (LOB) and other program review meetings
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience with a university degree or equivalent
- OR minimum of 3 years relevant experience with an advanced degree
- Experience in planning, scheduling, production control, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or related project management
- Experience managing daily team operations or equivalent leadership responsibilities
- Interfacing, collaborating, and communicating with all levels of an organization and a large external customer base
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems (special program access or equivalent)
- Experience with material and inventory control systems such as Kanban, SMI, continuous flow manufacturing
- Experience with Six Sigma methodology (CORE) and/or tools such as lean manufacturing, diagnostic, process optimization, and continuous improvement
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Skype)
