Responsibilities
- Provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory located in Andover, MA.
- Support the operation of Wave Solder, Selective Solder, Router and Mechanical Assembly lines, including automated and programmable equipment for multiple products and programs.
- Drive process improvement, cycle time reduction, defect prevention and operator support.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives, establishment of process baseline metrics, defect prevention, and process data analysis.
- Creating and overseeing projects using risk management techniques.
- Translating engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
- Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation.
- Dispositioning of discrepant hardware.
- Leading root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
- Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
- Manufacturing process development and support.
- Conducting safety/ergonomic assessments.
- Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and/or suppliers.
- Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defects.
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Knowledge and experience with ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3.
- Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience with supporting circuit card assembly production floor, (process and/or quality focus).
- Specialized tooling development (jigs, fixtures, specialized packaging development).
- Masking development.
- Salary range: 68,900 USD – 131,100 USD (good faith estimate).
