Raytheon has an opportunity to join the Precision Metal Fabrication Factory (Hardware). This position has overall leadership of the High-Volume Value Stream, a fast paced, multi-shift, high volume environment that produces products using cutting edge technologies and automation. As the Value Stream Lead your responsibilities include full leadership and management accountability regarding the performance on all aspects of safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance for the multi-cell/multi-shift operation.
The Value Stream Leader will be responsible for setting the standard and driving operational excellence throughout the organization. This position requires an independent, self-motivated leader, that can drive the organization to meet goals and objectives consistently.
This role requires daily interaction with cross-business teams to maintain and meet organizational goals and objectives. These groups include manufacturing/test/design engineering, maintenance, production control, finance and various program management offices. Achieving/exceeding safety, quality, delivery, cost goals and identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities using CORE, six sigma and lean methodologies are critical performance criteria for this position.
What You Will Do:- Execute to deliver commitments.
- Support deployment of manufacturing operations strategy, control systems, tools and metrics to accurately measure progress and drive continuous improvement in a safe environment.
- Support Workforce forecasting and planning, staffing budget oversight, Area layout, Unit hour performance and flow management.
- Capital identification and control of overhead expenses.
- Ensure full compliance of company policies and procedures.
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Experience working in manufacturing and/or industrial engineering and supervisory in the aerospace/defense industry
- U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Management skills including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision, goal setting, delegation, coaching, and motivating.
- Communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Interpersonal skills to manage tasks that bridge operations, production control, engineering, supply chain, and customer relations.
- Computer literacy and with confidence and skill working with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with Raytheon systems (PRISM, PDM, VBS)
- EVMS Certified.
